Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I hope this letter finds you well and you are surviving the summer heat. Please know that I love you and pray for all the blessings that our Father in Heaven has in store for you.

Recently in a bishops council we were discussing the challenges that our youth face on a daily basis and how we could best assist them in strengthening their faith in Jesus Christ and overcoming the world. We kept coming back to the promises that are associated with the Book of Mormon.

In an attempt to help our youth prepare for the upcoming school year, we invite all members of the Logandale Nevada East Stake, with an emphasis on the youth, to join us in consecrating forty days with Christ in the Book of Mormon. This is not an invitation to read the entire Book of Mormon in those 40 days but to drink deeply from the pages consistently each day with the promise to make better decisions, open the windows of heaven, receive answers to your own questions and receive direction in your life. Please join us as we petition the Lord to immunize our youth against the evils of the day.

We will begin on July 3rd, forty days before the start of the new school year. This invitation will be discussed this Sunday by your ward leaders. You will receive a card that will help you record your progress. We pray you accept this invitation and unlock the power of the Book of Mormon in your life.

Heavenly Father and his beloved son Jesus Christ love you. As we increase our consecration to them their ability to bless us increases.
