All bookings include the 23 private acres of land and 4 acres of waterfront. This amazing 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin is fully equipped and ready for short or long-term visits. Cabin has a strict outdoor ONLY smoking policy to accommoda

te all of our guests. One bedroom has a full bed and a queen bed with a clawfoot tub/shower combo private bath, the second bedroom has 2 sets of single bunkbeds and one single bed (5 twins total) with private bath/shower and washer & dryer. Plenty of room to sleep 11. Kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, full fridge, microwave and dishwasher. All rooms have flat screen TV's with Direct TV. Central heat & air. The fully covered front porch has a hot tub, swing and plenty of seating, there is a "misting" fan for those long hot summer days and a mosquito mister surrounds the cabin to keep those pesky bugs at bay. There are 2 BBQ pits available and a firepit for perfect s'more toasting. Make time to relax in the hammock overlooking the lake. There is a covered 50 AMP RV spot available or you can use that spot for covered parking. There is plenty of parking and 23 acres to roam. ATV's are welcome but limited to the private property. The "shop" has an outdoor fridge and fish cleaning station with a covered, concrete picnic area. There is a 10 x 12 dock to fish from or dock your boat and a covered boathouse (top only) for 2 boats. What a perfect place for a family reunion, honeymoon retreat, girls night, fisherman's paradise, or even duck hunting camp. Located at the end of a Dead End road, "Our Back Porch" will offer you the quiet, get-away-from -it-all experience you've been needing. Whether you are an avid bass fisherman or just honeymooners wanting a secluded retreat, we offer all the amenities of home and more. What an amazing sound the lake makes! Nothing beats lounging on that porch in the swing or the hot-tub listening to the hum of the evening. Birds, crickets, frogs, nutria, bass jumping, and a few sounds you can't identify. Or listen to your favorite tunes as you visit with friends and/or family and make memories that will last a lifetime. We can't wait to share OUR BACK PORCH with you!

This La Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries habitat barge is deploying new artificial reefs in Toledo Bend. Toledo Bend Lake Association purchased the materials for the construction of five of these artificial reefs and they will be included in the new Artificial Reef Map that will be printed and distributed this spring.

"The Eyes of the Night," is how David Moynahan titled his shot (from the top) showing a real army of bright-eyed alligators. 🐊 Floating dots are droplets of mist in the air, which focused flash light (which also illuminates reptiles’ eyes). They add an abstract element to the image that is part of the charm of the shot, captured at River State Park in Florida (USA).

The photograph below shows an alligator in the same nature reserve, whose eyes are also illuminated by the flash used by the photographer.
