Ok time to chat about this one! When Royal Caribbean announced that the Broadway style show on their newest ship Hero of the Seas would be SpongeBob the Musical, I was overjoyed. As someone who has performed in this very musical with my theater company, I have fallen in love with this show. I not a fan of the cartoon by any means, but!!! The musical is endearing, funny, entertaining, and a wonderful spectacle. It was nominated for 13 Tony awards, has music by Cindy Lauper, Aerosmith, The Flaming Lips, Panic at the Disco and many more and also stared Wicked’s own Ethan Slater in the title roll.

But when this was announced I saw so many people comment “NO” or “I won’t be going on that ship” or “why can’t they get the Lion King” or “why pick a kids show”. Folks……. Hero is my Middle Name is one of the songs in the show!!!!!! The adult humor, the catchy tunes, the dancing, the clever stunts deserve so much more than “no”.

Because in the unlikely event that a Simple Sponge can save the world, I’m here for it. Please give this musical a chance, many clips are available online to watch, plus the entire Broadway show is available on Paramount. As someone who adores this musical and has a personal connection to it, give it a chance. And when you are ready to book your next cruise, give me a call!

Happy 55th birthday to the Walt Disney World Resort!!!! 55 years ago today the Magic Kingdom opens its gates for guests. Although I am not 55 years old, this place has been a constant throughout my life since I was 6 years old in 1988 for my first visit. Here’s to the next 55, and making cherished memories to last a lifetime. ❤️

The newly refurbished Turf Club Bar and Grill at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort opens tomorrow!!! With dishes like Crispy Chicken Wings, Sweet-and-Spicy Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Butter Shrimp, Spinach and Mushroom Linguini, Smoked Salmon-wrapped Halibut, and Corn Flake-breaded Fried Chicken and Waffle with roasted jalapeño maple syrup and candied bacon butter…….. OH MY!!!!! Put this at the top of my list for our next visit!
