This weekend is Loyalty Days in Long Beach! Definitely a weekend not to be missed!! Come enjoy the parade, the bands, the activities and the ocean! AND, the season opening of the Saturday Market and so much more in Ilwaco too!! Sadly, the family that booked Bugsy's a few months ago is not able to come this weekend and cancelled their reservation. The International Kite Festival is August 18 - 24 in Long Beach, WA this year (and every year at this time). While we haven’t been yet, we’re going this year, and everyone raves about how amazing it is!! We just had an emergency cancellation at Bugsy’s By the Beach mid-week that week and would love to host you and your group. Clamming season opens in Long Beach, WA this weekend and we're excited to share Bugsy's by the Beach with you and your group. We have availability this weekend and would love to host you for opening weekend of clamming season. The weather looks great, and Long Beach will be SO FUN!! We've got all the gear you need for tons of fun and a super successful trip. 4 Clam Guns (3 pictured), 4 buckets, a couple net bags and an amazing clam/fish cleaning station outside!
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced 42 tentative days of razor clam digs at four coastal beaches from Oct. 3 through Dec. 31. The 2024-25 recreational razor clam season will see similar digging opportunity to last season as long as marine toxin levels remain below closure levels. Razor clam populations on Long Beach coastal beaches continue to be strong and healthy enough for abundant fall digging with harvestable low tides this season falling on Thanksgiving weekend, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day (not yet announced, 2025 dates will be released as the season progresses). Most successful digging occurs between one and two hours before the listed time of low tide. No digging is allowed before noon during digs when low tide occurs in the afternoon or evening. The daily limit is 15 clams per person. All diggers age 15 or older must have an applicable fishing license to harvest razor clams on any beach. Licenses are available online and at many local retail locations.

The Pacific razor clam is one of the most sought after shellfish in the state of Washington. Better roads and more leisure time have brought increasing numbers of diggers to the ocean beaches. It is not unusual to have as many as a thousand people per mile during a nice spring weekend day. These are some of the last pre-approved clam digging tides for Long Beach this year. Come up and get those yummy clams!

All diggers 15 or older must have an applicable fishing license to harvest razor clams on any beach. Licenses can be purchased from WDFW’s licensing website, and from hundreds of license vendors around the state. WDFW recommends buying your license before visiting coastal beach communities.
