Ready to explore more of Longmont? Take an e-bike for a spin!

With five new BCycle e-bike docking stations now in Longmont and 30 Class 1 pedal-assist e-bikes available to ride, getting around town just got a little more fun, and a lot easier.

New docking stations:
📍 6th Ave. and Coffman St.
📍 8th Ave. and Coffman St. RTD Park-n-Ride
📍 Longmont Public Library / Civic Center (350 Kimbark St.)
📍 Longmont Recreation Center (310 Quail Rd.)
📍 Rogers Grove Nature Area (220 Hover St.)
📍 A sixth docking station will be installed at Hover St. and Colorado 119 once construction in that area is complete

How it works:
Riders can rent e-bikes through the BCycle app by choosing a single trip, daily, monthly or annual pass. Low-income annual passes are also available through BCycle. All e-bikes must be checked out from and returned to designated docking stations.

Remember: BCycle is BYOH (bring your own helmet!), so bring yours along for safety!

Have you ever met the giraffe that lives in Roosevelt Park? 🦒

No, really.... Her name is Manilda G. Raffe, and while she's perfectly content sitting on her bench, she's been known to misplace a few things here and there! Read her story on the plaque nearby her bench (and she's got quite the story to tell), then see if you can spot her belongings hidden throughout the park. 👀

It's part public art, part scavenger hunt, and one of those delightful little Longmont surprises that makes exploring on foot even more fun.

Next time you make the trip to Longmont and find yourself strolling through Roosevelt Park, don't forget to say hi to Longmont's tallest resident!

Built in 1892, the Callahan House, located downtown at 312 Terry St., is one of the city's most beautiful historic landmarks, complete with a Queen Anne Victorian home, peaceful Italian-style gardens, and more than a century of local history. Whether you're stopping by for a stroll, attending a community event, or just admiring the architecture, it's a spot that's well worth adding to your Longmont itinerary.

Before you map out your Longmont itinerary, we've got a few important questions.

Just kidding... we're fully aware the correct answer is "all of the above." 😏 But if you *had* to choose, where are you headed first?

In case you haven't heard, a new piece of public art has officially joined the downtown landscape! "Architecture of Time" by internationally acclaimed muralist Osiris Rain, was completed last month and has brought so much color to Downtown Longmont!

Spanning 5000 square feet and twelve faces of the parking deck, this larger-than-life artwork brings bold colors, striking details, and a story about the people, places, and traditions that shape our community.

We'll let the photos do most of the "talking", but next time you’re downtown, take a stroll past the deck and see how many details you can discover. (And yes, it’s definitely worth a photo stop 😉)

Longmont is already home to an incredible lineup of local pizzerias, but on September 5, it’s about to become the epicenter of one of Colorado’s biggest pizza parties!

The Colorado Pizza Festival, put on by Urban Field Pizza, Antonio's Real New York Pizza and Rosalee's Pizza, is turning 4th & Kimbark into a one-day community block party- closing down the streets, firing up the ovens, and bringing the Front Range together for a celebration of all things pizza.

The festival will feature 20+ pizzerias from across Colorado, along with Longmont breweries, distilleries, and wineries, live music, amateur pizza competitions, the Pizza Olympics, and family-friendly activities (kids 12 and under are free!).

🎶 Catch performances from:
• The Motet: Funk Is Dead
• The Other Brothers
• David Lawrence + The Spoonful

Come hungry, stay for the music, and help support a great cause. Festival proceeds benefit Slice Out Hunger, Longmont Food Rescue, Community Food Share, and Colorado Friendship, working to end food insecurity on the Front Range.

There’s a lot more to Sandstone Ranch than meets the eye. While it's widely known as a hub for sports, venture a little farther in and you’ll discover one of Longmont’s most scenic places to explore.

Located in Southeast Longmont, along the St. Vrain Greenway, Sandstone Ranch offers scenic trails, dramatic sandstone cliffs, mountain views, and plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife like deer and bald eagles. Explore the historic grounds, step inside the Morris Coffin Historic Home, or head to the scenic overlook- one of the best places in Longmont to catch a sunset (if you ask us 😉).

Bring the kids for the Adventure Playground and splash pad, wander the trails, or simply take in the views. Every visit to Sandstone Ranch offers something new to discover.

Before Longmont was even incorporated, the Boulder County Fair was already bringing people together.

Since 1870, the fair has been a summer tradition filled with livestock shows, friendly competition, carnival rides, and unforgettable memories. While plenty has changed over the years, the spirit of the fair has stayed the same.

Take a trip back in time with these historic photos (courtesy of Longmont Museum) then make plans to be part of the next chapter at this year's Boulder County Fair from August 5-9.

Plus, don't miss the Boulder County Fair kickoff parade this Saturday 8/1 at 10am in downtown Longmont!
