I'm going to let you be the travel advisor tonight. 😏

A couple comes to you and says:
"We want to go to Europe next spring."

That's it. That's ALL they give you. 😂

You are allowed to ask them ONE question before you start giving them ideas.

What's your question?

Think about it before you keep reading...

Because mine probably wouldn't be:
"Where do you want to go?"

I'd want to know something more like:
"When you picture yourselves coming home from this trip saying, 'That was EXACTLY what we needed'...what happened on that trip?"

Did you relax? Eat fabulous food? Learn something?
Meet people? Spend uninterrupted time together?
See something you've dreamed about for 30 years?
Were you busy every day—or did you finally NOT have to be?

Those answers tell me a heck of a lot more than, "We were thinking Italy."

Because two couples can both tell me they want Italy and need two COMPLETELY different vacations.

That's the part of travel planning I really enjoy—the detective work. 🕵️‍♀️✈️

I want to know who you are BEFORE I start telling you where you should go.

So now I'm curious...

The weather was a little warm, but the breeze made it a beautiful evening on the patio—filled with good conversation, a few laughs and plenty of travel inspiration.

Our conversation may have been centered around Alaska Cruisetours…but I noticed a few Kona beers around the table. Hmmm…perhaps that Hawaii cruise should be next on the list! 🌺🚢

📱 Worried Travel Technology Will Be Overwhelming? You’re Not Alone.

“Leah, I’m worried I won’t know how to do all of this on my phone.”

I hear this more often than you might think.

Cruise apps, airline apps, electronic documents, online check-in and QR codes—travel has changed. Sometimes it can feel as though you need to learn an entirely new system before you’re allowed to take a vacation.

You don’t. 💛

Many of my guests are capable, experienced travelers who simply don’t use this technology every day. There is no reason to feel embarrassed or apologize for asking questions.

As your travel advisor, I can help you understand:

📱 Which apps you actually need
🧳 When online check-in opens
✈️ Where to find your boarding documents
🔔 Which notifications matter
📄 What should still be printed as a backup

There are some foods that are more than dinner.

In Minnesota, Tater Tot Hotdish is one of them. 🥔❤️

With just a few days left of the Minnesota State Fair, it’s the perfect time for this Minnesota classic. You can even find Hotdish on-a-Stick at the Fair. Because Minnesota. 😂

But I think hotdish tastes best around the family table.

🥔 TATER TOT HOTDISH

🥩 1 lb ground beef
🧅 1 small onion
🥫 1 can cream of mushroom soup
🥛 ½ cup milk
🥕 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
🥔 1 bag tater tots
🧂 Salt & pepper
🧀 1 cup cheddar, optional

🔥 Heat oven to 375°F.
🥩 Brown beef & onion; drain.
🥣 Stir in soup, milk & vegetables.
🍽️ Spread in greased 9x13 pan.
🥔 Top with tots.
⏲️ Bake 40–45 minutes. Add cheese for the last 10 minutes.

Then gather everyone around the table.

Because maybe hotdish isn’t really about the tater tots.

It’s Grandma’s kitchen. Church suppers. Kids coming home. Family stories.

“Remember when we went to...?”

And maybe, “Where should we go next?” ✈️

Sometimes the next family adventure begins right there—around the dinner table.
