A fun day out in the San Gabriels with Chad from Toronto. In the end we found a Black Bear (not the one that left these prints), a very cryptic Blainville’s Horned Lizard and a bunch of nice birds: White-headed Woodpecker, Lawrence’s Goldfinch, Red-breasted Sapsucker and Bell’s Sparrow. We heard Mountain Quail incredibly near but alas they wouldn’t show themselves. All of this in the stunning setting of the San Gabriel Mountains. To book a similar day contact me via my website.
