~A CLEAN BRIDE FOR CHRIST~

Ephesians 5:27 KJV:

“That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

The picture of a dirty bride is a serious spiritual warning. A bride prepares herself for the bridegroom. Likewise, Christ desires His church to be holy, separated from sin, and devoted to Him.

The Bible says Christ gave Himself for the church so that He might sanctify and cleanse it. Salvation is not merely about escaping judgment—it is about being transformed into the likeness of Christ.

James 4:4 KJV warns:

“whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

We cannot claim to belong wholly to Christ while deliberately embracing the sinful values of the world. The Lord calls His people to repentance, purity, obedience, and faithfulness.

But this message is also a message of hope. If we have been stained by sin, we do not have to remain that way. 1 John 1:9 KJV says:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Therefore, let us examine our hearts. Let us put away worldliness, repent of hidden sin, and seek the Lord while He may be found.

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.” — Revelation 19:7 KJV

Church, let us be ready for Christ—not stained by the world, but washed, sanctified, and walking faithfully with our Lord.

“Without the Spirit of God, a Man Is a Dead Man Walking”

The Bible teaches that a person can be physically alive while being spiritually dead. Ephesians 2:1 says:

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;” — Ephesians 2:1 KJV

Sin separates man from the holy God. A person may have possessions, success, knowledge, and worldly life, yet without Christ, he remains spiritually dead.

1. DEAD — Dead in Trespasses and Sins

Ephesians 2:1 does not say we were merely weak or wounded—it says “dead in trespasses and sins.” Sin is not something we can overcome by our own goodness. We need God to give us life.

2. ENMITY — Against God

Romans 8:7 declares:

“Because the carnal mind is enmity against God...”

The natural heart does not want to submit to God's authority. That is why salvation must begin with God's grace and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.

3. ALIENATED — From the Life of God

Ephesians 4:18 speaks of those who are:

“...alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them...”

The greatest tragedy is not merely losing earthly things—it is being separated from the God who gives eternal life.

4. DOOMED WITHOUT CHRIST

Our hope is not in self-imposed religion, morality, wealth, or human effort. Paul preached Christ's death, burial, and resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15:1–4. The gospel is God's answer to man's sin and spiritual death.

And Jesus said:

“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” — John 11:25 KJV

That is the hope of the gospel: Jesus Christ gives life to the spiritually dead.

So the question is not merely, “Am I alive physically?” The question is, “Am I alive unto God through Jesus Christ?”

Turn from sin. Believe the gospel. Seek the Lord while He may be found. Only Jesus Christ gives true and everlasting life.

“My hope does not rest in the affairs of this world… it rests in Christ who is coming again.”

Beloved, the Bible reminds us in John 18:36 that Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world.” If His kingdom is not of this world, then our hope must not be anchored here either. The affairs of this world—politics, economies, wars, disasters—are unstable. They rise and fall. Kingdoms shake. Nations tremble. But Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Scripture tells us in Colossians 3:2, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” When our hope is tied to earthly systems, fear controls us. But when our hope is rooted in Christ, peace guards us. The world may grow darker, but our hope shines brighter because it is not based on circumstances—it is based on a promise.”

And what is that promise? Acts 1:11 declares, “This same Jesus… shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” Christ is coming again. Not as a suffering servant, but as King of Kings. Not in weakness, but in glory.”

So lift up your head. Do not let your heart be troubled (John 14:1-3). Our hope is not in governments, not in wealth, not in human strength. Our hope is in the returning Christ. And when He appears, our faith will become sight...”

Hold fast. Stay faithful. The King is coming.

Matthew 24:37–39 reminds us that the world will be busy with everyday life when the Lord Jesus Christ returns. Eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage are not sins in themselves. The danger is living as though God does not exist and ignoring His warnings.

In Noah's day, people heard the preaching of righteousness, yet they continued with life as usual until the flood came suddenly. The Bible says:

“And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:39 KJV)

Many today are focused on pleasure, wealth, entertainment, and earthly plans, but have little concern for their souls. Jesus warned that His coming will catch many by surprise because they are spiritually asleep.

The Lord calls us to be watchful:

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” (Matthew 24:42 KJV)

This verse is not meant to create fear in those who trust Christ, but readiness. Have you repented of your sins? Have you placed your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ? Are you walking with Him daily?

The ark was open before the flood came. Today, salvation is still available through Christ alone.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 KJV)

Do not be caught off guard. Be ready, be watchful, and be faithful, for Jesus Christ is coming again. Amen.

~Repent Before It Is Too Late~

The message, “If we had a chance to peep in the lake of fire, we’d change our response,” is a solemn reminder that God’s warnings are not to be ignored. The Bible tells us:

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.”
— Acts 3:19 KJV

Jesus Himself said:

“Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
— Luke 13:3 KJV

And John the Baptist preached:

“Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
— Matthew 3:2 KJV

The lake of fire is not something to treat lightly. Revelation 20:15 declares:

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

God's warning is also an expression of His mercy. He calls sinners to repentance before judgment comes. We do not need to see the lake of fire to believe God's Word. We need to believe Him now.

Repent. Turn from sin. Turn to Christ. Seek the Lord while He may be found. The door of mercy is open today, but Scripture warns us not to presume upon tomorrow.

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
— 2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV

“Iron Sharpeneth Iron”

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” — Proverbs 27:17 KJV

The people we choose to walk with can influence the direction of our lives. A true friend does not merely encourage us to enjoy the pleasures of this world; a true friend will help sharpen our faith, correct us when we are wrong, and point us back to God.

The Bible says:

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” — Proverbs 13:20 KJV

We need friends who will pray with us, study God's Word with us, encourage holiness, and tell us the truth—even when the truth is difficult to hear.

Iron sharpens iron through friction. Likewise, godly friendships may bring correction and conviction, but that process can produce spiritual growth.

Choose companions who help you draw closer to Christ, not those who continually pull you away from Him.

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” — Proverbs 27:6 KJV

Prayer: Lord, give us wisdom to choose godly friends and make us the kind of friend who strengthens others in faith. Amen.
