What if it’s not polyester?

We recommend 100% polyester for pleating, but sometimes a design calls for something different.

This knife pleat is velvet. To help the pleats hold their shape, we added fusing to give the fabric more stability.

There’s often more than one way to approach a textile challenge.

Old machine. Beautiful stitch.

Our vintage Singer may not be the fastest machine in the shop, but it still creates one of our favorite details, the Figure 8 stitch, also known as a baseball stitch for its distinctive shape.
