Traveling to Morocco during Ramadan is a beautiful and unique experience. It is important to understand how this month affects daily life so you can plan properly before you arrive.

During Ramadan in Morocco, most local cafes and small restaurants close during the day, especially in rural areas and small towns. In major cities like Marrakech or Casablanca, you will still find options available. But if you are exploring the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert, or remote villages, planning ahead is essential.

Ramadan brings a peaceful atmosphere, deep cultural traditions, and unforgettable evenings. The streets are calm during the day, and after sunset the country comes alive with family gatherings and traditional Moroccan food.

If you want to visit Morocco during Ramadan 2026, we can design a custom tour that allows you to experience the culture comfortably. From desert camps in the Sahara to hiking in the Atlas Mountains, to relaxing with a traditional hammam and enjoying Moroccan mint tea after iftar, everything can be planned the right way.

Morocco during Ramadan is not limiting. It is meaningful. You just need the right guidance.

If you are thinking about traveling to Morocco in Ramadan, we are always happy to help you plan with confidence.

Ouzoud Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Morocco. Located in the Atlas Mountains and best accessible from Marrakech, it is a perfect day trip from Marrakech but I highly recommend staying overnight at least once to fully enjoy the waterfalls, the sunset, and the peaceful Berber village atmosphere.

These are some lovely places to check for your stay

During the night before the Mount Toubkal climb, we play a spoon-and-candle squatting game, a fun activity that’s even better than Xbox ⛰️😅

This building in Marrakech is the Royal Theatre. It’s located in downtown Gueliz, a name that comes from the Moroccan pronunciation of the French word “Église,” meaning “church.”
