🚨 BREAKING: NIKE IS OUT OF THE S&P 100. 😳📉
That’s a sentence I never expected to write about one of the most recognizable brands on Earth.
$NKE has suffered a brutal fall from its 2021 peak, and now Nike is officially set to leave the S&P 100 on September 21 as part of the latest index rebalance.
For decades, Nike felt untouchable — Jordans, Air Max, Kobe, LeBron, running, basketball, apparel… the Swoosh was EVERYWHERE.
But the stock tells a completely different story. Shares are around 50% below their 52-week high, while the longer-term decline from the 2021 peak is even more severe.
And here’s the part that really shows how the market is changing:
Nike is leaving while Palo Alto Networks, Dell, Arista Networks and SanDisk are joining the S&P 100 — another major shift toward technology. Nike will, however, remain in the S&P 500.
👀 Is $NKE becoming a generational value opportunity… or is Nike’s best era already behind it?
