Some of the best memories in life happen away from home.

They happen around a firepit under the stars. On a back porch with coffee before the world wakes up. In a hot tub after a long day. Around a dinner table where laughter lasts longer than the meal.

That feeling—that pause, that connection, that memory—is what changed everything for us.

Three years ago, we took a leap of faith and bought our first cabin, . Like most owners, we started with questions, uncertainty, and a whole lot to learn. We were looking for guidance on what to do, how to do it, and how to make it all work.

What we found was that this is about so much more than a property.

It’s about protecting someone’s home like it’s your own. It’s about creating an experience guests remember long after checkout. It’s about helping owners feel peace, confidence, and pride in what they’ve built.

Somewhere along the way, this became bigger than just our own cabin.

It became Compass by T&K.

We built Compass to help short-term rental owners create unforgettable guest experiences and high-performing properties—with real experience first, heart behind the work, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about rentals.

It’s about the memories made inside them.
