The food we feasted on while cruising down the Danube River in Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺. This was THE BEST food I had out of my 28 day trip. The stuffed cabbage was my favorite! 🇭🇺

While on a river cruise on the Danube in Budapest, Hungary, I took time to capture a few photos. First is the Parliament Building, all lit up in its magnificent glory. Then, the second photo is of myself while on the cruise. The food on this river cruise was amazing, and pictures of this food will be posted next! 🇭🇺

During our trip, we took a break from all of the fun to experience a moment of horrific tragedy in history. Here is Auschwitz-Birkenau. One of the most deadliest concentration camps during Adolf Hitler’s N**i regime. Here, 1.1 million of the total 11 million deaths took place. 900,000 of the 1.1 million deaths in this concentration camp were Jewish. The air was so heavy here, and the silence was deafening. On site, they have several displays of items that were stripped from prisoners as they came into this camp. One of the displays featured is 7 tons of human hair. Needless to say, tears were shed during this visit as I witnessed the evidence of mass murder of innocent women, children and men. May something like this never repeat itself again. It’s our job to prevent it. 🇵🇱

More of Prague, Czechia. First is a picture of a square in Prague, where you can also catch a glimpse of the famous Prague Astronomical Clock. Second picture is of one of the BEST desserts ever! Chimney cakes are found here and are so good, unbelievably good, actually! It’s a sugar coated pastry with a crispy outer layer, and soft on the inside. It is hollow on the inside and can be filled with whatever toppings you like. I chose Nutella and vanilla ice cream. Let me tell you, it was out of this world!!

Prague Castle in Prague, Czechia 🇨🇿 was one of the most breathtaking cathedrals from the outside I’ve ver seen. Its Gothic style stunned me!

The Memorial of the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin, Germany was opened in 2005 to commemorate the up to 6 million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. If you visit Germany, take time to walk through this memorial.

Berlin, Germany was fun. Here I stand before the Brandenburg gate. This was part of a guided tour through Berlin. And the history involving the Brandenburg Gate is actually very interesting.

You can’t visit Berlin, Germany without visiting this iconic mural of two men kissing. Above the mural says “My God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love”. This is just one of the many artistic features along the East Side Gallery.
