🌕 The Last Three Full Moons of 2026 Are Bringing Some Beautiful Night-Sky Moments!

✨ OCTOBER 26 — THE HUNTER’S MOON

October’s full Moon is traditionally known as the Hunter’s Moon. Its name comes from autumn traditions in the Northern Hemisphere. Around this time of year, the Moon can appear especially orange near the horizon because its light travels through more of Earth’s atmosphere.

🦫 NOVEMBER 24 — THE BEAVER MOON

The November full Moon is commonly called the Beaver Moon. This traditional name is associated with seasonal changes in late autumn. The Moon may look especially striking when it rises above the horizon, although its color and apparent size depend on viewing conditions.

❄️ DECEMBER 24 — THE COLD MOON

The December full Moon is known as the Cold Moon, a name associated with the colder nights of the Northern Hemisphere. Its bright light can illuminate the winter landscape and make for a beautiful night of skywatching.

🌌 Here’s something fascinating: a full Moon occurs when the Moon’s Earth-facing side is almost completely illuminated by sunlight. The Moon doesn’t create its own light—it reflects the Sun’s!

The spectacular Full Hunter's Moon is happening soon! 🏹🌕

On October 26, 2026, the breathtaking Hunter's Moon will be at its peak, lighting up the autumn night sky with a warm golden glow.

Traditionally named because it signaled the time to prepare for winter, its bright light historically aided hunters tracking game through newly cleared autumn fields.

Step outside right after sunset and look toward the east to watch it rise!

Don't miss this beautiful full moon! 🌌

👉🌙✨ DON’T MISS TONIGHT’S CELESTIAL SHOW!

📅 October 12, 2026 — The Moon Meets Venus and Mercury

🌌 Look toward the western sky after sunset!

A beautiful celestial gathering is expected this evening as the slim crescent Moon appears near bright Venus and Mercury. These three celestial objects will create a lovely scene above the western horizon.

✨ Venus will stand out with its brilliant glow, while Mercury may be harder to find because it will appear low in the fading twilight. The delicate crescent Moon will complete this eye-catching view, making it a special moment for skywatchers and astrophotography lovers.

đź” How to Watch:

- Find a spot with a clear view of the western horizon.
- Start looking shortly after sunset.
- Try to spot all three objects before they sink below the horizon.
- Binoculars may help you find Mercury, but use them only after the Sun has completely set and never point them toward the Sun.

🌠 Take a Moment to Enjoy the Night Sky! Step outside, look toward the west, and discover the beauty of our celestial neighborhood. Don’t forget your camera if you want to capture this lovely evening scene! 📸🌙
