Trail Update: Just spoke with two different groups of riders who made the run from Montague down to Highmarket. The trails are reported to be flat, fast, and have just enough snow—no rocks or gravel showing! There are a few wet spots to watch out for, but overall it’s looking good for a solid Christmas weekend ride.

Be aware that conditions thin out as you head further south, but it sounds like our area and definitely north more is hanging in there nicely. Keep an eye on weather updates, ride safe, and enjoy the trails!

With only a few inches of snow that fell last evening on top of the hard packed snow/ice, we are out assessing trails and grooming what we can. Corners are either icy or dirt. Be prepared for a variety of conditions. Please keep right and slow down and enjoy your ride. Ride safe!

6-12" by Friday morning and lasting through to Monday

The way I see it is, we have approx an 8 week window 8 to get snow and ride. Many of you have 1st hand experience riding the Snirt Run in April on snow cover trails so Hey, You Never Know...
I will suggest you be ready to roll out and ride on short notice. I will make sure I keep all the www.northernchateau.com and www.gotsnowcams.com webcams online so you can find the sweet spot.

Hanging on but for how long?! With temps dropping into the low 20s last night one groomer headed north and groomed C5C to JCT27 and out C4K to JCT2 where we meet Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders. Conditions range from marginal to excellent. Woods trails are thin with a few small water holes, seasonal road portions are holding up well for now. The 7day forecast is unfavorable but we are used to that by now. If the sun does shine it's going to deteriorate thin areas quickly.

Conditions south of cedar pines and into town are bleak. Minimal snow and lots of bare spots, exposed hazards etc. Ride at your own risk.

Trail C5C from jct27 to Redfield is thin but passable, no grooming done on this.
