At Wintergreen Acres, you can simply sit on the back porch and listen to the birds for entertainment! We often hear turkeys, red shouldered hawks, Eastern phoebes, nuthatches, Carolina wrens, a variety of owls and many, many more. The Merlin Bird app, by Cornell Lab, is free and makes bird identification fun and simple.
You can often see bald eagles, cedar waxwings, redwing blackbirds, hawks, killdeers and more while enjoying a stroll around Lake Arrowhead just down the road.
Here’s a sampling of what we heard while enjoying our morning coffee on the deck the other day! 🐦‍⬛🦅🕊️
