🌲🏡 A NEW CHAPTER AT LUTSEN SOLITUDE! 🏡🌲

Hello, Lutsen Solitude friends! 👋

We have some exciting news to share and thought it was time to introduce ourselves!

We're Joseph and Heather, the new owners of Lutsen Solitude, and we couldn't be more excited to begin this new adventure!

We've spent years visiting Lutsen and Minnesota's beautiful North Shore, and this area has always held a special place in our hearts. After many wonderful stays and countless memories made here, the opportunity came along to make Lutsen Solitude our own. We just couldn't pass it up!

We live in the Twin Cities and love heading north whenever we get the chance. We'll be personally managing the cabin, so when you reach out, you'll be connecting directly with us! Our goal is simple: to create a warm, comfortable, and welcoming getaway where our guests can relax, recharge, and make their own wonderful North Shore memories.

✨ SO, WHAT'S NEXT FOR LUTSEN SOLITUDE?

We're heading north in November to roll up our sleeves and give the cabin a little refresh! We have some exciting updates planned and can't wait to add a few personal touches while keeping all the charm that makes Lutsen Solitude so special.

📸 And we're bringing you along for the journey!

We'll be sharing photos, progress updates, and behind-the-scenes peeks as we work our way through the cabin. We hope you'll follow along as we make Lutsen Solitude our own!

❤️ To our returning guests: We hope to welcome you back and look forward to sharing the updates with you!

🌲 To our future guests: We can't wait for you to experience this beautiful little piece of the North Shore!

While there may be some changes ahead, one thing will always remain the same — Lutsen Solitude will continue to be a peaceful, inviting place to escape the everyday and enjoy everything this incredible area has to offer.

Thank you for being here and following along. We're so excited for what's ahead!

Here's to new beginnings, fresh updates, and making memories at Lutsen Solitude! 🥂🌲

With warm wishes,
Joseph & Heather

We’re turning the page on a wonderful chapter! Lutsen Solitude has been sold to Joe Holmes and Heather Pederson, who will be welcoming guests going forward. Thank you to everyone who stayed with us, followed along, and made this home such a special part of our lives for the past 24 years. This page will continue with them, and we wish them much success as they begin their own chapter at 4 Lodge Lane!

I think they liked it! Our latest 5 star review:

"The host was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was tremendously helpful and a wonderful communicator. The home was beautifully decorated, less than five minutes to Lutsen Mountain, and perfect for our family of five. We loved our stay and would love to come back again. Highly recommended!!!! Five plus stars!!!"

Wow! What a great review, thank you Melanie!

"This cabin was absolutely perfect! It was in a great location right off of Hwy 61 to serve as our home base for exploring the North Shore. Close to the w**ery to sit back and enjoy a glass of w**e and take in some live music. Also close to the bike trail for a scenic ride on a great and mostly flat trail. The cabin was phenomenal — absolutely adorable and so very homey, spacious for us to spread out and relax, and had a wonderfully appointed kitchen so that we could cook and stay in if we felt too tired to venture back out for dinner after a long day of hiking and taking in all the sites. And Jo was a fantastic host — she was welcoming and gracious and a great resource for additional information to help us plan our adventures. Her communications were easy and helpful and set us up for a wonderful time enjoying the North Shore! I can’t say enough good things about our stay in her beautiful home!"

We tell our new to the North Shore guests they have to check out the Temperance River gorge, it's just a few miles from our 4 Lodge Lane vacation home in Lutsen. It is amazing!

The Temperance River Hiking Club Trail is a beautiful river gorge hike in Minnesota. It's unlike any other trail in the state.
