The Wachau Valley is an Austrian region near the Danube River, west of Vienna.
Known for its Wachau apricots and wine terraces that produce Riesling and Grüner Veltliner, time seems to move more slowly here.
Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned in the castle above the town of Dürnstein in the 12th Century.
This Bike Ride from Krems to Dürnstein was a highlight among many last week.
Beautiful way to explore Wachau!

Bratislava is the Capital City of Slovakia.
This was my 3rd Visit to its charming fairy tale downtown and a short coach ride out of the city provided an introduction to Slovakian Wines.

A Collection of Favorite Photos from a Favorite City:
Beautiful Prague, capital city of the Czech Republic, is situated along the Vltava River and nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires”.
It’s known for its Old Town Square, with colorful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show. Completed in 1402, pedestrian Charles Bridge is lined with statues of Catholic saints.

Pisa is located in Tuscany, Italy.
Best known for its iconic Leaning Tower. Already tilting when it was completed in 1372, the 56m white-marble cylinder is the bell tower of the Romanesque, striped-marble cathedral that rises next to it in the Piazza dei Miracoli. Also in the piazza is the Baptistry and the Caposanto Monumentale cemetery.

GENOA PART 1
Genoa's historic center, with its colorful medieval buildings, winding alleys, and grand palaces, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The city was once a powerful maritime republic, and its harbor was a major trading hub.
It’s also the birthplace of the famous explorer, Christopher Columbus.

Enjoy visiting a collection of stunning Renaissance and Baroque palaces, called Palazzi dei Rolli and
Piazza De Ferrari, the central square of Genoa, bridging its historic and contemporary areas, and famous for its fountain.

Genoa Cathedral (Cattedrale di San Lorenzo) is a stunning example of Gothic and Romanesque architecture with precious works of art and religious relics.

Monaco Changing of the Guard
The Prince's Palace of Monaco is the official residence of the Sovereign Prince of Monaco.
Built in 1191 as a Genoese fortress, during its long and often dramatic history it has been bombarded and besieged by many foreign powers. Since the end of the 13th century, it has been the stronghold and home of the Grimaldi family who first captured it in 1297.
