The Mackinaw Island was very popular even though it is 17 months away; interest was over 80 individuals and unfortunately, the coach bus holds 56 people. So I went thru messages, pm, emails, and fb posts to check dates and have came up with the 55 people who have first choice to travel with me beginning September 27, 2027. As always, cancels come in & I have also started a wait list. I will be reaching out to the 55 individuals in the very near future to get a first list.
Per Rich, our Hale Transportation bus driver, we will be crossing into Canada by Niagara Falls and everyone will need either a passport or enhanced driver's license to enter Canada. If you have a DUI or another misdemeanor, you need to check to see if you would be allowed in per customs. I really would hate to leave someone at the border to catch a ride home so please check this out.
WE will spend the night someplace near Frankenmuth Michigan and visit Bronner's Christmas land on Tuesday before heading to the ferry which will take us to the island for 2 days. Our hotel is Bicycle Street Inn, near the ferry landing. It is a sister hotel to the Grand Hotel. After check in, you have free tine until we leave Thursday late morning. There is much to do from horseback riding, bicycle rentals, trails to walk, shopping, historical landmarks, and more. You will have both breakfasts on the island included with your ticket price. WE may have a group dining on Wednesday night but unsure currently.
On Thursday after check out, we will take the ferry back to Mackinaw City & begin traveling towards home. An overnight will once again be necessary and we will find some interesting things to do enroute. thank you
