Mackinaw City is ONCE AGAIN STOP #1 on your UpNorth Halloween Agenda. Thanks to Seasons of Mackinaw and our Central Avenue businesses for bringing back this Fall. AND...that's NOT ALL...come to see the incredible Nites on October 2nd & 3rd at Fort Michilimackinac and this year's Boo On the Boat on the Icebreaker Mackinaw Maritime Museum on Saturdays October 3rd & 10th.

And while you're making your way around town...you'll be able to vote for your favorite Scarecrow from over 40 in our ANNUAL Scarecrow Stroll throughout Mackinaw City.

Congratulations Headlands International Dark Sky Park team !! The universe just got a little bigger 🌎🎇

Headlands International Dark Sky Park is excited to receive an honorary membership to the Astronomical League! For nearly 80 years this organization of approximately 23,000 enthusiasts and over 300 member societies worldwide collaborated to provide valuable resources for study and advancement in the field of Astronomy.

What does this mean to you, Dark Sky Fans? We will now have complimentary copies of Reflector Magazine in the Visitor Information Center, and access to league resources as they are made available. The park will enjoy more opportunities for collaboration and growth of its Astronomy Outreach program.

Thank you to Terry Mann, VP of Astronomical League for presenting this honor to our All-Star Team last night!

Twenty-Five Years Ago…

On September 11, we pause to remember the innocent lives lost, honor the heroes who ran toward danger, and reflect on the extraordinary courage and unity Americans showed in the days that followed.

The Greater Mackinaw City Chamber of Commerce and our members encourage everyone to spend a little extra time with family today—and, especially, to talk with the young people in our lives about what happened on September 11, 2001.

For those who lived through that day 25 YEARS AGO, we remember in painful detail. Let us help those who were born afterward to also remember the Lives, the Heroes and the REAL promise of a United America.

Today we celebrate our Local First Responders with the promise that…

Another OUTSTANDING Mackinaw City Chamber of Commerce Networking Event held last evening at the Mackinac State Historic Parks Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse where we were able to tour both the lighthouse AND the Straits Shipwreck Museum on the grounds.

This event has become one of the most important of the year as it hosts our Early-Bird Raffle Drawing. Our Winners of BOTH the $1,000 Early-Bird Prize AND an Early-Bird Raffle Ticket for the 2027 Drawing are Bridget & Ron Parker. Bridget is with Legal Shield / ID Shield of Ga***rd, MI. CONGRATULATIONS!
