WORLD'S LARGEST MONOPOLY GAME! The small town of Macomb, Illinois pays tribute to the game's original inventor with a really fun, interactive Monopoly game that you play in the the historic downtown square. While playing the game you'll see giant game board pieces like a hat and dice and yes - you can even GO TO JAIL!

Macomb is also home to a "Finding Lincoln" trail; lots of outdoor recreation; great local restaurants; and some cool murals. Add this town to your list of fun Illinois towns to visit on your upcoming midwest road trips!

Did you know that Lizzie Magie's original Landlord’s Game was much more egalitarian than today’s version? It was based on "Single Tax" economic theory — the government would collect tax on land based on its usefulness, and then redistribute the revenue to the people. So when someone earned money, everyone benefitted.

In today's game, the winner is whoever has the most property, while the loser ends up broke. Interesting, huh? We’ll just leave it at that!

Fun fact: We personally worked with the Heretic Movie’s veteran art director and property master Dean Goodine to design a replica of the board game that you’ll see in the film from the rare original Landlords game created by Lizzie Magie which we have on display here in Macomb.

Heritic is now topping the charts on several streaming platforms, including Max, Hulu, and Prime Video. 🍿🎥 So, grab your popcorn and catch a glimpse of Macomb’s history and a mention of our own Lizzie Magie!
