A great opportunity for historic preservation in our area. Grants are available for both P***c Spaces and Homes as long as they have 501(c)(3) status. Additional information and requirements in the link in the comments. Deadline for letters of interest is November 2.

📣 GRANT OPPORTUNITY! The 1772 Foundation, Inc., in cooperation with Maine Preservation, is awarding 1:1 matching grants of up to $10,000 for historic preservation efforts across Maine.

🪚Eligible projects include exterior painting, finishes and surface restoration; installation of or upgrades to fire detection, lightning protection, and security systems; repairs to/restoration of porches, roofs, and windows; structural foundation and sill repair/replacement; chimney and masonry repointing.

🌎This year, an ADDITIONAL $10,000 will be available for a grant. The funds are part of a pilot program targeted for energy audit assessments, insulation upgrades, alternative energy sources (solar, geothermal, wind, etc.), upgraded/converted systems or appliances, and storm windows.

This fall, we are proud to share the Madawaska School Department’s 2026–2031 Strategic Plan with our community.
