The rope swing is back!!!!!! Hurricane Helene really did a number on our huge oak tree. We were afraid we were going to lose the limb that held the rope swing, but it has sprouted new growth! We have attached a new swing and it is very strong!!!!!

It’s an end of an era, the rope swing era! Hurricane Helene did significant damage to our big oak tree. The tree is still alive, but unfortunately the limb holding the swing is dead. We are looking for a good spot to add a new one!

We have truly been blessed. We lost probably 20 trees but none of them hit the house or dock. The leaning oak tree didn’t move and the rope swing is still up. That oak tree lost a lot of its top, so we will have to wait and see if it recovers. We lost another hickory tree, but hubby is having it cut up into logs to make more furniture!
