Good Morning! 🌞 Leake Academy celebrated their 16th Spring Break with Trek Travel Programs in style, as 30 Sixth grade students and parents journeyed to our Nation’s Capitol to see History come to Life! What a week we had — the Kennedy Center, a guided tour of our Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery, the National Cathedral, the Museum of the Bible, Ford’s Theatre, a Haunted History tour in Old Town Alexandria, a day at Mount Vernon and a nighttime Illumination Tour of the Monuments and Memorials made for the Best DC Tour ever! Leake Academy sets the standard for the kindest, most unselfish students I have ever toured with, and their parents are the always a joy to spend a week like this together. I want to thank Sara Shannon and all the parents for letting me produce this week for them. Wouldn’t your school group love a spring break like this? Reach out to me and we can make it happen! 😄

The “Ultimate Mardi Gras” in New Orleans was one of the Best Mardi Gras celebrations we have ever attended! Fifty-four Richland Seniors and Vintage Travelers enjoyed seeing the Krewe of Orpheus - the most beautiful parade of them all, plus the Krewe of Proteus! And thanks for our friend Matthew Tusch at Mardi Gras Made EZ, we had police escorts, a private balcony over St. Charles Avenue, a delicious catered dinner with all of our Louisiana favorites, and a first class stay at the Hilton Riverwalk! On Fat Tuesday we enjoyed beignets and cafe au lait at Cafe du Monde, shopping time at the famous French Quarter, and a great Cajun Lunch at Don’s Seafood. We are already counting down the days to next year’s celebration! A big thank you to Barbara Clark Adams, Connie Phillips, LeAnn Griggs Henderson and their groups for making this Mardi Gras unforgettable! 🎭 💜💛💚

No one else does Mardi Gras for Groups, like Trek Travel Programs does! This is our 19th year that we have two exciting Mardi Gras Celebrations Planned! We want to showcase our first one, the Red River Mardi Gras Bash in Shreveport, Louisiana, set for Saturday, March 1st! We will see over 30 "Krewe of Gemini" Parade Floats, with all the throws, beads and give-aways you can handle! Plus, enjoy a private tailgate style party, complete with a delicious catered lunch featuring all of your Louisiana favorites like Jambalaya, Gumbo, fried Catfish and more, plus soft drinks and a cash bar! Everyone will also receive a customized T-Shirt, a souvenir Mardi Gras Medallion to wear, private seating area to enjoy along the parade route, and a live Zydeco band to enjoy all afternoon! We will also get to shop at Tubb's Hardware Store to sample the best King Cakes and Mardi Gras Hospitality around! Happy Valentine’s Day! ♥️ Vintage Travelers had a Sweetheart of a Day, as they all enjoyed a “Play-Day” in New Orleans to see the Smash Hit, Mamma Mia! at the Beautiful Saenger Thestre. An afternoon of shopping and sightseeing in the famous French Quarter, Beignets at Cafe du Monde, a delicious Cajun dinner at Mulate’s Restaurant and reserved seats for the Show, made for the best pre-Valentines ever! Thank you LeAnn Griggs Henderson for starting off your travel year in such a fun way! ❤️🩵

One of our favorite Confrerenes to attend is the State Parks and Recreation Convention, held in Natchez this year. Hundreds of Program Directors come to share and gather ideas, and Trek Travel Programs is the only Tour Operator here to show how much value and life enrichment group travel provides. I am so grateful to have Chandra Fontenot and Barbara Clark Adams who have been with me for over 15 years, and I can’t wait to plan new tours for Pascagoula, Oxford, Hernando, Moss Point, Meridian, Booneville, Jackson, Gulfport, and Hattiesburg! Enjoyed an awesome trip with Colonial Heights Baptist Church as we headed to Cross Con 25 in Louisville, KY! Had a great time focused on missions and how we can make His name known. This is a conference that focuses on equipping 18-25 year olds with the perspective of missions. Thank you, Colonial Heights, for allowing us to partner with you on this trip.
