France - Bike & Barge Trip
I am back home, settling into life again. The trip was fantastic. A few days in Paris again, still haven't seen all that city has to offer. the bulk of the trip was about biking the Camargue Region.

The area and towns are quaint, many with a lot of history from Roman ages. The smaller towns even more interesting to ride through, would have been nice to explore a bit but the trip has a schedule to follow.

Friday - day in Aigues-Mortes. I decided not to bike and opted to explore this beautiful little town. The wall around the city is still in excellent condition and I was able to walk around the whole square. Salt is produced here so the water has the sediment giving it a pink hue.

I did a 3 mile ride when the group returned, wine tasting.

Thursday - 21 miles ride from Arles to Aigues-Mortes. Sunny but very windy day. Lots of scenery.

Wednesday in Arles - I know my limits and took the day off, skipping a 40 mile hilly ride. I wandered around Arles for a couple hours.

Tuesday - 27 miles from Aramon to Pont du Gard with a few stops along the route.

Monday - rain out, no biking. Chef Silvia did a cooking demo and we made riccota gnocchi.

Tuesday- 27 miles - Aramon to Pont du Gard, back through Remoulins and Montfrin. Watched gentlemen playing Pentanque. Amazing day.

Sunday - Day 1 of biking.
We rode from Avignon to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, in a light drizzle, and back. It was about a 19 mile ride.

Friday in Paris - relaxing day with a visit to Notre Dame, refurbishment is looking great.

Thursday we walked around the Marais neighborhoods in the morning and Montmartre in the afternoon.
