Not sure about my ability to take in quilts after October due to having surgery on my right thumb in October. Having trigger finger on Sept 17 before that. So, will keep you posted here as to my availability. Dealing with old Arthur with hands that got unusual use by sorting mail before automation plus all my hobbies require extreme use of hands. Keeping on top of it with great docs using the latest technology. The thumb may take two to three month recovery I'm told. Think I may be able to piece after about a month and a half. My machines will get a long rest!

I made this pattern up to use the tractor fabric I had. Looked for a block that resembled a plowed field. Judy Hopkins 501 Quilt Blocks book had the perfect block: Carrie Nation. I have enough for 2 oversized lap quilts. Blocks are 8.5" unfinished. 2" red border, 4.5" tractor border. We have a lot of vintage tractor enthusiasts in our area.

Up next, my quilt: a Lori Holt piecing pattern that is quite elegant in it's simplicity. It's also a typical pattern for me to choose: square setting that appears on point. Once again, a scrappy pattern- my favorite. It hangs well on the table, so I guess I got my seams even. Ha! What pattern would you put on it? I may look for something totally new to audition.

This crib quilt will transition into a forever keeper for the recipient. Square in a Square piecing pattern got quilted with Impulse by Christy Dillon. I attached the binding and basted the corners for the customer to hand whip the binding on the back. Basting corners 'trains' the fabric to lay in that perfect miter ahead of hand stitching.
