See what I mean about this pattern? Uses up scraps beautifully! It's called Patience Corners quilt block. I like using a light 3.5 inch square and two scrap fabrics for the 2 inch strips. One fabric for (4) 2 x 3.5 strips. Another fabric for (2) 2 x 3.5 inch strips plus (2) 2 x 6.5 inch strips. There are other versions but this one looks best to me. Makes a 9 inch finished block OR, you can use 2.5 inch strips and a 4.5 inch square to make a 12 inch finished block. I like the 9 inch best. Pretty as any scrap quilt could ever be. Coffee cups quilt- a customer's quilt. The fabric colors are black and white with a little brown thrown in. I used a thread color called warm gray. The cups fabric had a diamond harlequin look to them and I chose a pattern to mimic that look. Textured it up well. I can just imagine a person covering up with it on a cold winter morning, coffee cup in hand, watching the morning news on tv.

LOVE THIS PANEL PATTERN! It was fun to quilt. Used a pattern called 'Dolce'. The thread color allowed the pattern to recede into the background and not take away from the beautiful design. Textured it up well despite being technically a pictorial quilting design.

1600 yards of Riley Blake coming in to Cardinal Quilts today, Oct.23. Should be out on sale by tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 24. Hwy 56 is closed beyond Splinter Ridge. I either go up the Ky side to Markland OR take Big Doe Run (just beyond Brookburg) all the way to 129S (turn right) to 56 (turn left) into Vevay.

This year, I will accept Quilts up until Dec. 1 for pickup by Dec. 10 until the rack is as full as I can manage. Closed for the winter and resuming March 20, 2025, just in time for spring! Our long driveway is too difficult to manage keeping it clear of snow and ice anyway. I can't clear it and hubby can't be out more than 15 minutes in freezing temps due to circulation problems in hands and feet. We will snowbird part of that time to keep him warm. I'm caught up right now. Having two machines is a blessing that way. I can finish 5- 8 Quilts a week usually.

Got it quilted. Getting ready to bind. Pattern is called "Ada". First time I've used this pattern. When a pattern comes out this good, it is a great choice not to custom quilt.

I will be working on this quilt in the coming week. It is a Mennonite pieced top by the community in Switzerland County. The size is 105 x 106 before quilting. Will probably finish around 104" square after quilting. It would fit a 60" x 80" standard queen bed as a spread very well with a 22 inch drop over the sides. A 76 x 80 king would have a 14" drop over the sides, so more like a king comfort size. Colors are teals and rose with white background. It will be for sale and delivered to Cardinal Quilts for display on Oct. 12.
