Not every unforgettable getaway requires a passport.

This weekend we checked into the beautiful Hotel Monteleone, wandered the streets of New Orleans with no agenda, listened to jazz as it spilled out of bars & into the streets & discovered a talented local artist whose work now has a place in our home & topped it off with an immersive dining experience we won’t soon forget.

As a travel advisor, I love planning bucket list vacations, but I’m just as passionate about the quick escapes that remind you to slow down and reconnect.

So here’s your sign: order the dessert, buy the art, and take the trip! Adventure doesn’t always start at the airport!

Let’s chat…
All 4 of these pictures were taken in the Caribbean BUT 2 of these were at an all inclusive resort while the other 2 were not. All inclusive resorts give you the opportunity to unplug & make very few decisions. They’re great for pretty much everyone & are USUALLY cost effective.
If you’re looking for adventure & maybe don’t mind making decisions, like where to eat, what beach to check out & potentially rent a car & explore then there are many locations in the Caribbean just for that too! Great news is, I can help you plan either… or both!

Scotland has quickly become one of my most requested destinations and it’s easy to see why! From the breathtaking Highlands to the historic streets of Edinburgh, this country truly has it all. Castles, whisky, rugged coastlines, charming villages, and unforgettable scenery await around every corner.

Who’s ready to add Scotland to their passport?

If you know me even a little bit, you’ll know there are certain places that I’ve left small pieces of myself, and Scotland is one of them.

280 years ago today, Scotland was changed forever on the moors of Culloden Battlefield. In just under an hour the final pitched battle on British soil was over & the Jacobites had lost. Those that didn’t die that day lost a piece of themselves being forced to give up their traditions of wearing tartan & playing bagpipes, even speaking Scotch Gaelic was forbidden. Today, Culloden is a powerful reminder of Scotland’s past & is a somber reminder of its resilience.
