I’m not going to sugarcoat it. A cruise to Alaska is a once in a lifetime adventure and yes, it’s an expensive one. But by far, Alaska has been one of our family absolute favorite vacations ever. It’s nothing like your Caribbean cruise, and that’s exactly why you need to experience it. It is 100% worth it.
With several Disney Alaskan Cruises under my belt, I’m sharing my top must do’s to help you make the most of your family magical vacation:
✅ DO book the cruise: Just do it. From the world class service and entertainment onboard to the most incredible excursions, a Disney Alaskan Cruise is unlike any vacation.
✅ DO think about when to go: The season runs May through September. I’ve sailed mostly in June and July, but if you want to save money, May and September are your best bet!
✅ DO splurge on a stateroom with a view: A verandah or oceanview is absolutely worth it. It’s an Inside Passage cruise and the views are everything.
✅ DO fly in early and explore Vancouver: Vancouver is stunning. Give yourself at least 2 days before the cruise and a few days after if you can. You will love it!
