Planning a trip to a theme park soon? Here’s what I would build into your rest day:

1. Save your character meal for rest day. 🍝
I can tell you which meals are available without a park ticket. 🍳

2. Plan to spend the majority of the day at the pool.
Yes, you are spending thousands, but kids (and adults) love a good pool. 👙 Plus, resorts have FUN poolside activities throughout the day.

3. Explore your resort or a neighboring resort.
👟Walk the grounds and see what your resort has to offer (like S’more’s or movie nights)!

✈️Happy travel day to my clients! Planning this Universal + Disney split stay was fun and I hope you have a great time. ❤️ For those of us at home here’s what we’re missing:

🪐Universal: a staying at one of the newest resorts, a day at Epic Universe, and pool time

🌸Disney: Epcot Flower & Garden Festival, exploring places on the Skyliner routes, and of course…pool time!

Universal resort hotels have big things going for them. I said what I said. I’m a BIG fan of Disney resorts (yes, even the All Stars) but there are some incredible things about Universal resorts that are worth posting about.
Here are some specific examples:

😱 At Universal’s Stella Nova resort you can get Starbucks, workout on your rest day, AND WALK TO EPIC UNIVERSE. It’s a value resort price tag with deluxe perks, and it’s not the only Universal value resort that has them.

😱Early Entry at Universal is one hour before park open. That’s an entire hour where you can ride multiple rides before the park opens to the general public.

😱Three of the premier resorts come WITH Expresses passes, Universals skip the line system when you book. No budgeting on top of your room and ticket price. You’re basically saving money by staying there (girl math?).

😱Cabana Bay resort has a bowling alley. It’s a destination in and of itself.
