ā€¦ because she realizes that it does not come directly from her.


That ā€˜herā€™ talent comes through her,

She just happens to be its vehicle.


Our talent comes uniquely through each of us,

[Delivered in its own special way]


Now, you may not have similar gifts to Madonna,

Maybe your gifts arenā€™t even in the ā€˜artsā€™ category,

But the one thing our talent has in commonā€¦

ā€¦ is that itā€™s not ours to hold.

We have all fallen into the cycle of looking for perfection,

Through an object, action or appearanceā€¦

ā€¦ but weā€™re all guilty.


[Some more than others.]


What may help us change this cycle,

Is realizing that perfectionismā€¦

ā€¦ is something we do for others to see.


[External]


But what if we decide instead,

That our appearances, actions and thingsā€¦

ā€¦ are what we do for ourselves.


E X C E L L E N C E


[Internal]


That all of our efforts are to be of our very best;

Not for any external recognition,

But for internal recognitionā€¦

ā€¦ loving and honoring who we are at our core.


Deciphering between perfectionism and excellence can be tricky.

We may even trick ourselves,

Into believing we are one versus the other.


[But deep down we really do know.]


Now that you know,

Take inventory of your actions, appearances and things.

Ask yourself for whom are they?

Begin to notice this in every area of you life,
