Recently a client came to me looking for a family vacation to Aruba this July- as in a month from now!

Like many people, she had already started searching on her own, but wasn’t sure if she was getting the best deal or choosing the right resort for her family.

Oops! Global Running Day was yesterday, but between running all over the place (literally and figuratively ), I completely forgot about it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Fun fact: I’ve completed FIVE runDisney Half Marathons with my husband over the past 9 years. We’ve dressed as Belle & Gaston, Haunted Mansion Ghost Hosts, Captain Hook & Smee, Mickey & Minnie and Tower of Terror cast members.

This January, I’m taking on my biggest challenge - my FIRST marathon! And of course, it will be runDisney style (I can’t run that far anywhere but Disney!).

Big question-

👇 What character should I dress up as? Since I’m running solo this time, give me your best costume ideas!

One of the things I love about runDisney weekends is helping my clients navigate all the logistics that come with race weekend. From knowing when to pick up your bib, understanding transportation, figuring out what time to catch the race buses (spoiler alert: VERY early!), choosing the best resort for race weekend and planning park time around race day (celebratory beer at the Biergarten!) there are a lot of details to think about.

Today is “Say Something Nice Day,” and these two messages from new clients absolutely made my day.

As a travel advisor, I spend a lot of time behind the scenes helping clients figure out travel dates, comparing resorts, finding the best value, answering questions, monitoring prices, making dining reservations and making sure all of the details are covered before they travel.

When a client takes a moment to tell me how helpful I’ve been, it means more than they probably realize.

It also reminds me how powerful a few kind words can be. You never know what someone may be dealing with and a simple compliment or encouraging message can completely change the course of their day.

One of the coolest things my son, Jack, and I did on our spring break cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas was the Behind the Waves Tour!

We got an exclusive look at behind the scenes areas of the ship that most guests never get to see and it gave us a new appreciation for all that goes into making a cruise run smoothly.
