IT WAS NEVER ABOUT SHORT TERM RENTING
I built my cottage on Iron Mill Pond 7 years ago with all required permits
Jeff Pigeon and a few neighbors filed litigation to stop me from renting and they prevailed
SO....
I stopped renting
I stopped using my dedicated easement driveway due to vandalism and harassment
I stopped letting kids sleep in my treehouse
I bought my own parcel so I could have my own driveway
It wasn't enough. When you give him an inch he wants a mile.
Jeff Pigeon owns 12 parcels on Iron Lake. He has been buying parcels throughout our 6 year litigation. Not one parcel is for sale on Iron Mill Pond because he has purchased any that goes for sale.
Jeff Pigeon has filed a second lawsuit asking Washtenaw County Circuit Court to order me to tear down my 7 year old cottage and treehouse. His complaint is that my cottage gives him anxiety because my cottage could catch on fire. The cottage is an island, on the opposite side. It is 1,300 feet between my cottage and his house and 380 feet of water separates our properties.
It doesn't take a slide rule to figure this out
Now township officials are being deposed, which means Manchester Taxpayers dollars are being spent.
