Let’s talk spooky season because Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Halloween Horror Nights are NOT the same kind of Halloween night.

I’ve done both, I love both… but I would recommend them to two very different people.

🏰 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party: If your idea of Halloween is costumes, trick-or-treating, characters, a ridiculously good parade, Disney villains and spooky-cute vibes, this is your night. It’s family-friendly, but I absolutely recommend it for adults without kids too. There’s just something about Magic Kingdom at Halloween.

Halloween Horror Nights: If you want haunted houses, scare zones, creepy food, drinks and that constant feeling that someone may be lurking behind you… welcome to HHN. This one is for my horror lovers and anyone who actually ENJOYS being scared. I survived two houses this year and considered that a personal victory.

Basically:

👻 Want the full spooky season experience? Do what I do and go to BOTH.

The Disney Wish NYC sailings for September & October 2027 are already going FAST, and general booking hasn't even opened yet!

Castaway Club members are booking now, and I’m already watching certain stateroom categories disappear on some dates. These are sailings I absolutely expect to sell out.

People ask how I can go to Disney so often without getting tired of it… and I think it’s because, for me, Disney has never just been about riding rides. 🏰✨

It’s walking down Main Street and hearing the music. Catching a character interaction that makes you laugh. Seeing Spaceship Earth light up at night. Eating something shaped like Mickey because apparently food tastes better that way.

It’s the whimsy of it all.

But more than anything, it’s getting to leave real life behind for a little while. I can stop worrying about the everyday stuff and just be excited. Be silly. Be a kid again.

Life asks us to be grown-ups most of the time. I think that’s why I’ll always love having a place where I don’t have to be one quite so much. That feeling never gets old.

But September also means we’re heading into the final stretch of 2026, and there is STILL time for another adventure!
