Last night, some of our Ahoy New York crew got to see Maybe Happy Ending on Broadway. It's the sweet, surprising story of two retired robots finding real connection in near-future Seoul, told with way more heart than you'd expect and an excellent musical score to match.

We all came out feeling charmed, a little wistful, and honestly kind of hopeful. We also all agreed on how lovely, mature, and well-thought-out this show actually was. From sets and lighting, to music and sound, to costumes, to the amazing actors on that stage, it was all so impressive. We also happened to be there on Kids' Night on Broadway, a program presented by the Broadway League that invites kids 18 and under to see a free Broadway show when accompanied by a full-paying adult. For some kids, this might have been their first show... and you never forget the impact of your first Broadway experience.

So grateful for this crew, for this city, and for nights like last night. We get to show people the best of New York City for a living, and every once in a while, New York City shows us something pretty amazing right back.

Peter Luger's has been slinging steak since 1887. Opened in Williamsburg as a café and billiards hall, way before the Williamsburg Bridge even existed. Officially credited to Peter Luger, though some food historians say it was actually his father or relative Carl who started it and Peter took over later. Either way, it stayed a family operation from day one.

Founder passed in 1941, the place lost its shine under his son, then a regular customer named Sol Forman bought it at auction in 1950 and brought it roaring back. Same family still runs it. Still cash only. Still zero interest in changing a thing.

Let the waiters run the show. These guys have been doing this for decades and know the menu better than you know your own kitchen. Basically steak sherpas. If you're unsure what to order, or like us, your eyes are bigger than your stomach and you want it all, let them be the voice of reason and guide you.

Start with the bacon. Thick-cut, sizzling, non-negotiable. Then the wedge salad to cut through it. The burger has a cult following of its own. Add the German fried potatoes, the creamed spinach, and that bread and butter you'll be fighting your friends over before the porterhouse even lands.

And don't you dare skip dessert...I know, I know you're so full you can't. But, yes you can. Their apple strudel is divine and don't get us started on the schlag. Yes, shlag...whipped cream that has seemingly been made by angels. It might be the sleeper hit of the whole meal.

139 years in and still the one every other steakhouse gets measured against.
