It must be done…no matter the place, no matter the temperature.

Whenever I travel, I always have to put hands and/or feet in the water. Not in a hotel pool, but in the ocean, lake, bay or river. Maybe it has to do with the sense of pure awe - connecting with places from centuries old stories and historic events.

I’ve posted about this before - hands in the Urubamba River, toes in the Tyrrhenian Sea, hands in Loch Ness…

Well, it happened again. This time, my feet went in the Indian Ocean at Kosi Bay Mouth. The rest of my family went fully in (kudos to them!)

If you've ever felt so parched on a plane you'd swear you were in the desert, you're not far off. A long-haul flight can have humidity comparable to or even lower than a very dry part of the Sahara Desert! An airplane cabin typically has 10–20% relative humidity, sometimes even lower, whereas the Sahara is often around 10–25% relative humidity during the day!

Moral of the story: drink your water and stay hydrated! Your body will thank you...and it helps with jet-lag too!

On this National Middle Child Day, we'd like to give a special shoutout to every middle who:

*has at least one vacation photo where they're half cut out of.
*never got first pick of the hotel bed.
*heard, "Where's your sister?" and "Where's your brother?" before anyone asked where you were.
*was the only one carrying their own backpack before age 10.
