We have got some snow!
Guys from the club are making a concentrated effort to get this all packed down and cleared as soon as possible. Mike, Dirk, Ed, and our friend Erick Lindbeck will all be out in our grooming trucks all through the day and I would imagine into the nighttime. Our goal is to try to have everything packed in the next 24 hours. Will take a short break. See how things go and groom for the weekend.!!! it’s fantastic yahoo!
If you do decide to go out onto the trail with the snowmobile, be careful for down trees

A portion of the Bowstring Trail has been closed due to heavy logging. Yesterday with the help of Jeff Powell open up a reroute and the old railroad grade. The trail now shoots straight south and crosses the Mac road and then turns straight west and runs  the powerline along Mac Road where it hooks up to the standard trail route.

This snow is certainly helping!
The Marcell Trail from the divide all the way up to Bigfork is doable and actually very good in spots. Still a little bit shy of filling some of the big holes and Creek beds so use caution. We have also had a chance to work on the Cameron Lake Trail and our end of it is decent from Marcell to . Cameron Lake Road. ice thickness still needs to be checked on a couple of our swamps but with the warm weather from last week, I doubt that has changed much. As we move into this week, we should be able to groom a decent portion of our trails.

Trail packing,,, I have worked on Marcell North between Marcell and the jingle Lake Road and we are currently working on Marcell south. Trying to pack wherever we can leaving our trails with the bigger swamps for next week.

Our friends over Riley’s graciously donated $1,500 to the club earlier this week!

Representatives from both Marcell Snowdrifters and Bushwackers snowmobile clubs stopped at Riley’s today and recieved a $1500 donation for each club! These funds are raised in cooperation with GRAHA through sales of Pull Tabs, E tabs, and gun raffles at Riley‘s!
