🌅 An incredible evening with the Sunrise Marion Toastmasters! 🌆✨

We had a wonderful turnout for our summer social gathering. It turned out to be a beautiful night, filled with great food, fantastic conversations, and even better company. It’s always a pleasure to connect outside of our regular morning routine and enjoy the strength of our club community under much more relaxed, evening skies.

🏆 A major congratulations to Brianna for being honored with the **Ron Berry Award**! Your dedication, growth, and constant encouragement of your fellow members truly inspire us all. This recognition is incredibly well-deserved.

We are looking forward to another fantastic year of sharpening our communication skills, building leadership confidence, and supporting one another’s goals.
Here’s to another phenomenal year in Toastmasters! 🚀

Our weekly meeting was absolutely buzzing today! As a hybrid club, there is always an incredible **synergy** when we connect our in-person crew with our fantastic Zoom participants to share the morning together.

Our Table Topics Master, **Sam**, brought a powerhouse list of 9 thought-provoking questions today. Things moved so fast we only had time to put two people on the spot during the meeting! ⏱️🎤

Since the rest of these questions are too good to leave locked up in a notebook, we are bringing them to you.

1. **The Perspective Shift:** Tell us about a conversation that unexpectedly changed your perspective.
2. **The Ultimate Network:** If you could network with anyone—living or dead—who would it be and why?
3. **Manifest It:** Describe a time when you spoke something into existence.
4. **Hindsight 20/20:** If you could give your past self one piece of advice about success, what would it be?
5. **Fearless:** If you had no fear, what goal would you achieve today?
6. **Stand Up:** Describe a moment when you used your voice to stand up for something important.
7. **The Stretch Zone:** When has stepping outside your comfort zone revealed something valuable about yourself?

Nothing beats great food and even better conversation! 🥂 We had a wonderful turnout for our Sunrise Marion Toastmasters social at Goldfinch Tap + Eatery. It was a perfect way to connect outside of our usual morning meetings. Can’t wait for the next one!

It was a wild and wooly Wednesday morning at Sunrise Marion Toastmasters, where we embraced "The Gift of Uncomfortable!" 🎁.
Discomfort is proof you are pushing your boundaries and growing. We learned that a racing heart and sweaty palms are physical symptoms of growth, not fear. We focused on building resilience, the ability to adapt to challenging experiences and bounce back from setbacks.
Members flexed their skills during impromptu Table Topics, sharing lessons learned from mistakes and even navigating tricky situations like whacking shins with a 40-pound kettlebell. We also took an artful adventure through downtown Cedar Rapids, exploring interactive murals and sculptures.
Ready to push your limits? Cherish that unease—it’s the gift that propels us forward!
