Water temps are warming up near shore and fish are very active. Another few weeks and we will be moving to the land of giants silver.

Lake Superior brown trout or lake superior coho? Which one do you prefer to eat?

It's amazing how reddish orange these brown trout fillets are coming out of Lake Superior. The brown trout are flavorful flaky fatty delicious fillets. As were the coho are very lean delicate and smooth tasting.

If these fillets did not have the skin on them. It would be hard to tell them apart. Either way, the best table fair of the great lakes is right here on lake Superior. No doubt about that.
