FIRST HOME GAME IS SATURDAY AT 11:00AM!!! If you are able, please come!!!
20 years ago, this project started as sketches on paper by an inspired architecture student, and we're now two days away from the grand opening because of God's incredible Grace. I've posted before about how much this project means to me, but I never imagined that it could mean so much more because of the way that it has come together. The past year of planning, fund raising, construction, and working has revealed to me God's hand through the time, gifts, talents, and abilities of not only a few people but a whole community. Romans 8:28 says: "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called to His purpose." This facility is a confirmation of that Word. I've worked along side of some of the most amazing people and seen some of the most amazing acts of selflessness. There was no building fee charged to families of Shaw students, and there has been no angel investor to donate a huge sum of money. It has been built, and continues to be built, by donations and investments of alumni, friends, businesses, and the incredible hard work and dedication of many people. This is truly a community facility, and I am so humbled by seeing people work together using the gifts that God has given them. From the outside, its just a small high school stadium, but from a spiritual standpoint, it makes the Superdome look small. Thank you, God, for making a way where there seems to be no way, making possible things that seem impossible, and revealing Yourself through others. I can't watch the news at night, because it focuses on the dark side of humanity, and I know that we can all shine like the sun by using the great gifts that have been given to us. See yall Saturday!!! 💚💚💚💚💚🦅
