There is nothing quite like Italy in the fall, and our group is soaking up every golden moment of it.

Our Grand Tour of Italy began on the shores of Lake Como, and what a place to start. We cruised past elegant villas, wandered the breathtaking gardens of Villa Carlotta, and fell head over heels for the charming village of Bellagio. Add in long, delicious dinners and more laughter than we could count, and it was the kind of beginning you do not forget.

From there we made our way to Florence, the heart of the Renaissance. Even a little rain could not slow us down as we took in the art, the history, and those beautiful winding streets. There is a reason this city has captured hearts for centuries, and now it has captured ours too.

And believe it or not, we are just getting started. We still have the ancient wonders of Rome and the stunning coastal beauty of Sorrento ahead of us. If the first half of this trip is any sign, the best is yet to come.

But here is what makes a trip like this truly special. It is not just the places. It is the people. Watching a group come together, strangers becoming friends over a shared meal and a shared sense of wonder, that is the magic we get to be part of every single time.

St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah is one of the biggest parties in the South, and I’ve found a way to see it without the elbows, the long lines, or the endless hunt for a restroom.

This is one of our Front Row trips, the special events you only get one shot at each year. On March 17, we’ll be at a private party at the Savannah Theatre with our own bleacher seats right on the parade route. Glaciers, whales, and a sunset that simply refuses to end. Reservations are now open!

This is the Alaska trip people talk about for years. We fly into Seattle a day early and stay overnight, so nobody's racing to the pier. After a morning sightseeing tour of Seattle, we board the Norwegian Bliss and let the Inside Passage do the rest.

The Bliss was built with Alaska in mind, including a floor-to-ceiling glass observation lounge across the bow. When a glacier comes into view or a humpback surfaces, you'll be watching from a warm chair with a cup of coffee instead of standing in the wind.

Frances here....

Twenty five years ago today, I woke up like it was any other morning, got ready, and headed to the airport for a flight to Raleigh with a peer to make sales calls. I had no idea the world was about to change forever.

By the time my plane landed, it already had. The first tower had been hit. And by the time I reached the rental car agency, so had the second. I remember the strange, heavy confusion in that terminal, everyone trying to understand something that could not be understood.

Thankfully, we already had a car reserved, so we made the decision to drive back to Tennessee and stop to see a few clients along the way. I will never forget that minivan. The two of us, glued to the radio, listening to the news coverage for hour after hour as the miles passed.

And then came a moment I have never been able to shake. The radio was carrying a live television feed, and as the second tower fell, the announcer went quiet for a beat and then said, "well folks, you saw that for yourself. There are no words to explain what we just saw."

No words. He was right. There were none then, and all these years later, there still are not.

Today I am remembering the ones we lost, the heroes who ran toward the danger, and the families whose lives were never the same. I am holding them all close in my heart.

I know so many of us carry a story from that day, the exact place we were standing when the world stopped. If you feel moved to, I would be honored if you shared yours in the comments. Sometimes remembering together is how we heal.

I just got back from Ireland, friends, and I am still thinking about it.

I try to go ahead of every trip we sell so I know exactly what I am putting your name on, and this one earned it. The Cliffs of Moher will stop you cold. Standing in a circle of women with a falcon on my arm was not something I saw coming. And the wh***ey barrel seaweed bath down in Sneem, looking out at the ocean, was one of those moments I had to just sit in for a while.

The part that surprised me most was Di**le. A little harbor town painted every color there is, and we stay three nights so you actually get to know the place instead of passing through it. There is a free afternoon built in to wander, poke through the shops, or find a pub with music in it. I could have stayed a week.

We are running Fairytales of Ireland twice in 2027.

July 15 to 25, 2027 is open to everyone.

August 5 to 15, 2027 is our ladies only departure.

Ten days on the Emerald Isle either way. The Cliffs of Moher, the Slea Head Drive, the Ring of Kerry, Blarney Castle, the Book of Kells at Trinity College, and a night of traditional music and dance at the Merry Ploughboy in Dublin. Did you know Trips Unlimited has a women only travel division?
It is true. Alongside our regular tours, we run trips designed just for the ladies, and they go all over the world.

There is something different about traveling with a group of women. The conversations are easier. Nobody is rushing anybody.
You can linger over dinner, wander through a shop without watching the clock, and laugh about things only the women at that table would understand. Some of our travelers come with a friend. Plenty come solo and go home with several new ones.
