A singer-songwriter and guitarist born and raised in New Orleans, Doussan blends funk, blues, Americana, and heartfelt storytelling into a performance that's as soulful as the city that shaped him.

Tonight’s the night for an unforgettable evening of New Orleans-inspired music! 🎹⚜️ Join John “Papa” Gros at 7:00 p.m. at Piedmont Arts for a night filled with soulful sounds and French Quarter vibes.

This special performance is part of the French Quarter Musical Mini Series presented by MovetoMartinsville and Music in the Box — celebrating music, culture, and unique venues throughout our community.

And the music doesn’t stop there:

What a weekend at Rooster Walk 16 🎶💛

The VisitMartinsville team had an amazing time connecting with festivalgoers, sharing all things City of Martinsville VA-Henry County, Virginia, and soaking in the atmosphere all weekend long. A huge THANK YOU to our VisitMartinsville volunteers for helping us keep the booth running all weekend long, and to our fellow DMO neighbors Visit SoSi and Visit Patrick County, VA for joining us out on the festival grounds!

It was also great to see our friends from Virginia Tourism Corporation — thank you for sponsoring the Virginia is for Lovers Lake Stage and for continuing to invest in our community and events like Rooster Walk!

We hope everyone had the best time at Rooster Walk 16, and we can’t wait to see you all back again next year! 🤘✨
