ICYMI: The 17th Annual Smith River Fest 🚣‍♂️ was held on Saturday at the Monogram Foods Smith River Sports Complex. Attendees raced along the river, tested their skills in the demo pool, powered through the mud run course, and enjoyed live entertainment at the amphitheater.

🏆 New Exhibit at Fayette Area Historical Initiative! 🏆
Step into Martinsville-Henry County’s rich sports history with FAHI’s latest transitional exhibit — celebrating African American athletes from our community who made it all the way to the professional level!

From Lou Whitaker (MLB Rookie of the Year) ⚾ to Carl Hairston (15-year NFL veteran) 🏈, Odell Hodge (basketball record-setter) 🏀, and Oliver McCall (WBC heavyweight champion) 🥊 — this exhibit is packed with framed jerseys, photos, gear, and incredible stories.

📅 On display now through mid-November at FAHI’s temporary location.
