I have had the summer of meeting artists! I am in Visit Sheboygan leading a Pitching Workshop for Midwest Travel Network and we met an incredible artist today, Dr. Charles Smith. His passion for art and his approachability topped our group's visit!!!The John Michael Kohler Arts Center Art Preserve is where you can view his work. You can purchase his book at the Art Preserve and if you visit this week, he may be around to sign it.

I had an incredible time at the Pioneer Village with the Ward County Historical Society. We were fortunate to visit on a day with a free car/tractor show going on- donations are always appreciated. We had so much fun in Visit Minot in Travel North Dakota - this historical society was one of the best we have visited.

Home in Iowa..... everything is lush and green this August! Our lawn mower gets a workout when we are home. August will wrap up with a Pitching Workshop in Visit Sheboygan - a workshop I lead for the Midwest Travel Network. And... we will be home for two weeks and then we are off on a camping trip with no specific destination in mind.

When we were in Visit Minot Travel North Dakota we had the opportunity to experience Citizens Alley - This alley transforms into a wonderful summer venue and in the winter you can lace up your ice skates and take to the ice! We went on an evening where Mendenhall Crossing was playing music

Our August travel has taken us many places. We have more North Dakota content coming your way. This week we were in Wayne County Ohio and Richmond Indiana- lots of great, new content coming. We wrapped up our trip this week with another Indiana Fever Game. A win would have been nice- we cannot change that. We love the atmosphere at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Indianapolis is so easy to get in and out of, as well. Caitlin did not play, but Lucy Olsen played on the Mystics! 🏀👏💥

We were introduced to Peggy and her team at To***co Gardens Resort & Marina just north of Hello Watford City McKenzie County, North Dakota Travel North Dakota - The club sandwich and lemon cake.... the BEST!!!!

A short 30-minute drive from Watford City - this resort was worth every mile heading north.

You can view art throughout the property and purchase all of the things you forgot for an epic outdoor experience, including hats! Peggy's passion for her property and the area was incredible.... her staff was 12/10!

We have so much more to share.... this property has won us over! Don't be surprised if you don't see us camping here in the next couple of years. This campground and location are incredible, located on Lake Sakakawea.

Stonehome Brewing Co in Hello Watford City, and McKenzie County, North Dakota quickly won us over. Another delicious stop in Travel North Dakota. Anyone up for a game of shuffleboard?

We indulged in cheezy bread sticks, loaded beer cheese dip, and pizza packed with all of the meat toppings you can imagine. I loved that the Lewis & Clark trail is recognized as you enter and leave this restaurant.

We LOVED everything about our meal, and the service was a 10/10!

Well.. Hello Watford City and Roosevelt Inn & Suites......

Our road trip through Travel North Dakota included an amazing time in Watford City. Our lodging was incredible, and we had the BEST breakfast sandwich of all time!🥐🥚🥩

There's still a whole lot of summer travel season left - this is a road trip you will be glad you took. We saw incredible sights, met wonderful people, and explored new to us areas. It all began in Visit Fargo-Moorhead and then to Lake Metigoshe State Park and the International Peace Garden and on to Visit Minot Hello Watford City McKenzie County, North Dakota and on to Medora Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Medora, ND.

Watford City is a great base camp when you are exploring Theodore Roosevelt National Park - Did you know Watford City sits 15 minutes from the North Unit?

We had an opportunity to learn so much about this area, stay tuned! We have a lot of content from here and all across the state. Our road trip was incredible, as we traveled from east to west.

Meet Max!

The art scene in Minot quickly won me over. Imagine my excitement when I met ART BY MAX in Visit Minot - I saw his work in Jamestown ND last summer and was so excited to meet him! His new mural in Minot is AMAZING - worth the road trip! 🌟🎨👍💫🔥
