One thing I don't talk about often enough is that I also handle your Disney dining reservations and Enchanting Extras!

Today was one of those mornings where I was very happy to be sitting here doing exactly that.

I was able to secure two appointments at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for two very lucky little girls, followed by Cinderella’s Royal Table so they can meet the princesses!

These are the reservations that can be stressful to get, especially when you have your heart set on a specific experience or dining time. I take care of the searching, booking and timing so you don't have to stress! And it doesn't stop with dining. I can also help with Enchanting Extras, from Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and dessert parties to other special experiences.

It's one more thing I can take off your plate when you're planning a Disney vacation. And honestly, I love when I get to send a client a message saying I was able to secure all of their favorites!

Over the years, I've realized that I get a lot of the same questions from clients. Some are about things they didn't even know I could help with, and others are questions that can make a big difference when planning a vacation.
So, every Sunday, I'm going to answer one of the questions I get asked most often.

“Why do you ask so many questions before giving me a price?”

Because I’m not an online booking engine. I care about your vacation and the investment you’re making in it.

When you reach out to me, I want to make sure I’m finding the right fit for you and your family and not just finding the cheapest option and sending you a price.

Things like resorts and cruise ships are not all created equal. Two resorts can have the same price and look beautiful online, but the experience can be completely different. The beach, food, service, room location, atmosphere, activities, entertainment and even the type of traveler the resort attracts can all make a big difference.
And online photos don’t always tell the whole story.

That’s why I ask about things like your budget, who is traveling, what kind of atmosphere you want, what is important to you, what you don’t want, whether you want a quiet vacation or lots of activities, and what you’ve enjoyed or disliked on past trips.

The more I know, the better I can narrow down the options and save you from spending hours looking at resorts that may not be a good fit.

I’m not just looking for a vacation that looks good on paper. I want to help you find a vacation that you’re actually going to enjoy.

That’s why I ask the questions. I’m planning your vacation, not just pricing one.

“Is my child too young to go to Disney?”

This is one I get asked all the time, and my answer is almost always… no!
I’ve been taking children to Disney for years, from babies and toddlers to teenagers, and there really isn’t one “perfect” age.

Babies and toddlers may not remember the trip, but you do!!

They can still see the characters, enjoy rides, watch the shows, splash in the pool, and experience the magic.

And honestly, some of my favorite Disney memories have been watching little ones experience it for the first time.

Older kids obviously get something different out of the trip. They may remember more, have favorite characters and attractions, and be able to handle longer days.

The bigger question isn’t “Are they too young?” It’s “What will make Disney enjoyable for your family at this age?”

That’s where I can help. I can help you plan your days around your child’s age, nap schedules, height restrictions, attractions, breaks, stroller needs, dining and everything else that goes into making a Disney trip work for your family.

There’s no perfect age for Disney. There’s just the right way to do Disney for your family.

Travel Tip Thursday ✈️

Why I don’t always recommend the cheapest flight...

When I’m putting together a vacation, I’m not just looking at the lowest price. I’m also looking at the flight times, length of the connection, airport, layover, baggage rules, and how much flexibility you have if something goes wrong.

For example, a 35-minute connection in Miami may look great on paper, but I would not recommend it. And a February layover in Baltimore can carry more weather risk than a connection in Charlotte.

Sometimes the $75 cheaper flight really is the better option. Other times, saving that $75 can mean a 6-hour layover, a tight connection, or getting into your destination late at night.

There’s a lot more to choosing a flight than just the price!

One of my clients’ favorite resorts!
Why I like it:
~Located within the gated community of Cap Cana, giving it a more exclusive feel
~A great mix of quiet, relaxation and entertainment
~The staff really shine here. The service is welcoming, attentive and one of the things that stands out to me
~No beach vendors, which makes relaxing on the beach more enjoyable
~A beautiful luxury feel throughout the resort

A quick note about the beach: While the beach can be beautiful, this area can be prone to sargassum during the summer months. As always, sargassum is a natural occurrence and the amount can vary from year to year.

If you’re looking for an adults-only all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic that offers luxury, great service and a little bit of everything, Secrets Cap Cana is definitely one I would consider.
