In May we weren’t able to meet up and give the check to Matewan Convention and Visitors Bureau Inc and Mayor Moore!

But what’s that mean! We have time to increase this donation!

Our fall festival will be October 9 . If you would like to volunteer contact Pam Simpkins or Charlotte Blankenship or comment on park page. Volunteers under 12 years old must have an adult to volunteer with them. Our plans isn’t finalized yet but we’re doing haunted house and pumpkin contest and great food / music. More plans will be announced later. Come enjoy a fun evening with us.

The Matewan CVB is continuing to revamp the Matewan Depot and needs your help.

We’re looking for individuals who would be willing to donate or loan historical items and antiques to the museum.

Currently seeking items from the following categories:

Railroad
Coal mining
Hatfield and McCoy feud
Matewan
Tug river
