Not every cruise is a vacation—sometimes it’s business… that feels like vacation. On my recent business trip onboard Carnival Mardi Gras, I got to experience the ship in a whole new way, and it did not disappoint.
I watched the Chicago Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings right on the ship surrounded by passionate fans, new friends, and a little bit of fun trash talking that kept everyone laughing. I enjoyed Family Feud (which hit close to home since my family actually played on the Jubilee and almost won!), laughed through the classic Love & Marriage Show, and curled up on the Lido Deck to watch The Lion King under the stars – warm breeze, big screen, and pure Disney magic at sea.
And of course… the food.
Between Shaq’s Big Chicken and Guy’s Burger Joint, I found myself going back again and again – and the best part is that it’s all included. Add in an unforgettable dinner at the Steakhouse and it was the perfect blend of comfort food and elevated dining.
Even though this was a business trip, the Mardi Gras turned it into a beautiful balance of productivity, inspiration, and joy. It reminded me why I love helping people experience cruise vacations: they create moments and memories you can’t get anywhere else.
