The Vinton County Department of Tourism’s monthly board meeting for September has been rescheduled to September 1, 2026 at 12:00 due to scheduling conflicts.

Each month’s advisory board meeting is held at the Vinton County Department of Tourism office, located at 104 W Main Street, McArthur, OH 45651.

The remaining 2026 advisory board meeting schedule is:
September 1, 2026
October 13, 2026
November 10, 2026
December 8, 2026

All board meetings begin at 12:00 and are open to the public.

We are so excited to share our 2025 Economic Impact highlights and the winners of our 2026 Destination Development grants!

Congratulations to our 2026 Grant Recipients: 21 Crows, Daisy DeLight, Hammond Hardware, Poked and Polished, Rolling Hills Collectibles, Self Reliance and Heritage Association, VC Farm and Floral, and the Vinton County CVB.

With these grants, we can support the businesses and ideas that strengthen our community. As we look forward, we aim to continue expanding our Destination Development Grants program to ensure Vinton County remains Ohio's Wonderland for explorers and dreamers.

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Stellar Films Motion Pictures! Read about it here:

Dakota Dunn and Alexis Stacy recently met with the team at Discover Vinton County including Director of Tourism Aidan Reagh and Cultural Tourism Manager Keirsten Yates; to align on an exciting new project.

Both teams came together to discuss one of our ongoing TV show currently in pre-production/planning. Through this collaboration, the project has evolved to perfectly capture a shared vision, and we are thrilled to announce that Discover Vinton County and Stellar Films Motion Pictures have officially partnered to bring this series to life! 🌲✨

While the official title is still under wraps, the project is currently operating under the working title "Meet Me Here."

Season 1 will showcase Vinton County as a whole; highlighting local towns, vibrant small businesses, inspiring community members, and iconic landmarks like the Moonville Tunnel, surrounding state forests, lakes, historic blast furnaces, and the overall beauty the county has to offer as well as the rich history behind the county.

Our goal is to produce a multi-episode season to pitch to major networks, shining a bright, positive light on the true spirit and beauty of the Vinton County community. While we don't have a strict timeline for filming just yet, we hope to have Season 1 completely filmed before the end of the year!
