🎃 Halloween fun coming up! ⬇ 👻

CITY OF McCAYSVILLE HALLOWEEN SAFE ZONE 2026 🎃

The City of McCaysville and the McCaysville Police Department are excited to once again host our Halloween Safe Zone on Saturday, October 31st, on Bridge Street!
As we did last year, our goal is to provide a safe, family friendly place for our children to enjoy trick-or-treating while keeping them off the busy roadway of Blue Ridge Drive.

🍬 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM | Setup Time
Bridge Street will be closed during this time to allow businesses, churches, organizations, and anyone wishing to participate to set up a booth or table and hand out candy to our children.
👻 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM | Halloween Safe Zone
At 5:30 PM, we will officially begin trick-or-treating on Bridge Street and continue until 8:00 PM.

We encourage our local businesses, churches, organizations, and community members to come out, decorate a table or booth, bring plenty of candy, and help us make this another great Halloween for the children of McCaysville and our surrounding communities.
Our children’s safety is our top priority, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Bridge Street Saturday, October 31st!

☔️ Twin Cities Market is CANCELED this Saturday - October 10.

With the effects of the hurricane expected to bring wind gusts up to 45 mph along with a high probability of torrential rain, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this Saturday’s market.

The safety of our vendors, shoppers, and community always comes first. High winds are especially dangerous around market tents and displays, and we don’t want anyone — or anyone’s merchandise — put at risk.

We are so disappointed that we won’t get to see all of our wonderful shoppers and vendors this weekend, but we know this is the right call.

Please stay safe, stay dry, and we’ll see you back at Twin Cities Market soon! 💚

You'll find these signs placed throughout Copperhill. The history runs deep in this mining town! This particular sign will send you to information on what was once The New York Cafe & Hotel Building, 121 Ocoee St, Copperhill, TN.

Built between 1925 and 1926, the establishment catered to both men and women, offering dining and lodging in a time when Copperhill was a bustling industrial town. The café served regular dinners for 50 cents, making it an affordable yet refined dining option for residents and travelers alike. The hotel provided modern amenities for its time, including steam heat, a telephone in each room, and access to showers and baths - features that set it apart from many other lodgings in the area.
