Enjoy a full day of family-friendly fun, food, entertainment, and fundraising. Visitors can browse a wide variety of handcrafted quilts, furniture, antiques, tools, flowers, baked goods, crafts, and other unique items during the live auction and vendor marketplace.

Guests can also enjoy delicious homemade food including BBQ chicken, sandwiches, fresh baked pies, ice cream, and other festival favorites while taking in live music and entertainment throughout the day. Activities for children, community exhibits, and opportunities to connect with local artisans and organizations make this a can’t-miss summer event for all ages.

Garrett County Department of Public Works– Roads Division reminds the public that Garrett County’s - America’s 250th special event will be held the weekend of Saturday, July 18, 2026.

The public is advised to expect and prepare for traffic congestion, varied traffic patterns and delays throughout the weekend with special consideration leading up to 9:30pm drone show on Saturday. Citizens are reminded to exercise caution in and around the event area, obey all posted traffic safety signals and signage, and be especially mindful of pedestrians.

Limited shuttle service for this event will be provided between Garrett College and the McHenry Business Park.

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce presents our July 4th Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display this Saturday, July 4, 2026!

Fireworks will light up the sky above Marsh Mountain at Wisp Resort overlooking Deep Creek Lake on July 4th. The display is set to begin around 9:30 pm and is set off from the tubing hill at the Wisp Mountain Park.

Prime viewing locations for the annual display include:
Scenic overlook along Rt. 219
Wisp Resort
Lawn at Garrett College
Boat on Deep Creek Lake, particularly McHenry Cove
Local Businesses in McHenry

Before the fireworks, don't miss Wisp's free Stage Wisp concert by The Kelly Bell Band from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm under the saddle tent on the front lawn! Bring your blanket and lawn chairs and hot eats and cool drinks will be available for purchase on the outdoor deck. Farm & Art Market at Wisp begins at 5 pm.
