We stopped by on embarkation day to check out these amazing kids clubs! (Normally parents aren’t allowed inside.)The kids clubs on Disney ships are excellent. Infants and under 3 go to Small World Nursery, ages 3–10 enjoy Oceaneer Club with Star Wars lightsaber training and Marvel hero missions, tweens (11-14) chill at Edge and teens (14-17) vibe out in Vibe! These kid areas make me wish we had cruised with our kids when they were younger!! My son would have LOVED the Oceaneer Club with all the Star Wars and Marvel things when he was that age (he did now, haha)! And how ADORABLE is the little story time area with princesses!

One thing I love about Wish class ships like the Destiny is the theming! I was really looking forward to checking out the Haunted Mansion Lounge (also on the Treasure). We loved it! Kids are welcome until 9pm, then it’s adults only. Now when I’m on the ship, I want to hit the parks, and when I’m in the parks, I want to be back on the ship! Well played, Disney! 👻

Great news for my Texas families!!! The Port of Galveston just released their long term plans! Over the next several years, they are planning major expansions that will completely transform the port experience.

We are talking more cruise terminals, which means more ships sailing right out of Texas, more itinerary options, and more availability without having to fly. This is a huge win for families who love the convenience of driving to their cruise.

They are also working on improving traffic flow, parking, and overall access to the port. On top of that, there are plans to add hotels, restaurants, and shopping nearby, giving the whole area more of a destination feel instead of just a place you pass through.

I have a few ships in mind that I REALLY hope will head our way!!! Galveston is quickly becoming one of the top cruise ports in the country, and it is only going to keep growing.
