Here are five wranglers🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠......plus a 'want-a-be (who is showing her age!)! 😄Being a wrangler looks like a fun job, but I quickly realized that they work hard, and it's just NOT always sitting in a saddle!🐴 Once learning about all the extra chores involved , like clearing trails with hand saws and axes, taking care of a lot of horses and their tack, fixing fences, starting the day before 6:30 AM and finishing around 5:00 PM⏰, it doesn't't sound so glamorous. Other skills needed are to be good riders with quick reactions, safety knowledge, and plenty of "people skills". 😀So it seems that my qualifications weren't up to standards! One can always dream, I guess!🙂

Here are some youngsters 👶🧒👨👩‍🦰🧑‍🦱who are gathered at the barn, ready to head out on their first ride of the week. Notice that they are all equipped with their helmets! The rule at the ranch is that all children 12 and under are required to wear a helmet for their riding safety.

Some close-up glimpses of smiley staff faces at Hawley Mountain Ranch. Living and working together for a whole summer can test relationships, but these employees seem to make it work. Guests really enjoyed the hospitality that the crew displayed while doing their tasks. Well done! Please see our website for more happy facses!

Here is our crew who has completed a busy 2026 season at Hawley Mountain Ranch. It takes a lot of dedicated people to keep things running smoothly, and these employees did a fine job making that happen. We thank all of them for their hard work and long hours, along with huge amounts of hospitality all summer long. Much appreciated! We wish them all much success with what lies ahead, and perhaps some may choose to be back at Hwley Mountain next season.

We are so grateful for this season and all the people who made it so special. Six months ago, many of us were strangers, and now we’re walking away with friendships and connections from all over the world.

These photos only show a small piece of what happens at the ranch. So much of the best stuff happens behind the scenes and those are the memories we’ll keep for ourselves.

Thank you to our incredible staff and guests for an unforgettable season. Wishing everyone a beautiful winter, and we hope to see you next season. 🤎🌲🌄

Now that the season of taking care of guests, the horses🐎🐎🐎 have a chance to get a little R & R before moving to winter❄️ pasture soon. Heading to the pond for a cool drink is one of their favorite things👏 to do after a busy work day. Many of our visitors had an opporunity to enjoy a ride with one of our fine horses. Hope they enjoyed their rides!🙂 www.hawleymountain.com
